What to expect when working with Ben as your mentor

When you work with me as your mentor, you’ll enlist in a bespoke mentoring programme based on you, your needs and specific outcomes. I am here to be an accountability partner who will check in with you to ensure you are following through on the commitments you make in the sessions.

Here's how it works

Step 1: Initial Consultation (1 Hour, Virtual)

  • A one-hour virtual meeting to explore your personal outcomes for our mentoring partnership.

Step 2: Kick-off Session (2 Hours, Virtual or In Person)

  • A two-hour kick-off session to build a meaningful connection and build momentum at the start of the programme.

Step 3: 11 x Monthly Leadership Mentoring Sessions (60 Minutes Each)

  • 11 x 60-minute coaching and mentoring sessions
  • Sessions held over 9–12 months (in-person preferred, virtual available)
  • Ongoing guidance , and strategic insights

Step 4: Continuous Support & Accountability

  • Priority email and phone access for urgent leadership challenges
  • The opportunity to contact me between sessions via phone or email if you have any urgent queries or need some advice.
  • Access to my network of experts; if I can’t help with a specific challenge or request, I’ll almost certainly know someone who can.
  • Access to my full catalogue of online learning programmes.

Ben’s role as your leadership mentor

As a mentor and coach, I encourage you to take responsibility and control your learning. To support you, I will:

Create a safe place for our discussions, maintaining total confidentiality and taking a non-judgmental approach

Help you explore options - the advantages/ disadvantages of different courses of action helping you identify, prioritise and plan how to meet your development needs

Share tools, tactics and approaches that will help you achieve your aims based on my experiences and decades of study

Hold you to account and help you follow through on decisions made in our sessions

Provide resources, toolkits and worksheets to help you make changes across different areas of your life

Arrive on time and be prepared for our sessions. If I need to rearrange anything, I’ll give you as much notice as possible

Provide the right balance of support and challenge to help you achieve the outcomes you’re looking for

To maximise your investment, you will need to:

Be ready to go all in

Be present during our sessions by turning off notifications and limiting any potential distractions

Approach every session with an open mind and willingness to share what’s really going on for you

Commit to making notes and action plans during each session and following through on those actions

Think about what you want to get from your sessions beforehand so we can maximise our time together

Give me as much notice as possible if you need to rearrange a session
